TengoInternet Adds 13 Customers in 12 States

TengoInternet, an Internet provider for the outdoor hospitality industry, has added 13 new customers in 12 U.S. states. With these new locations TengoInternet manages more than 900 wireless networks across 49 states, Canada and Mexico.

Given the challenging national economy, the number of RV manufacturers that have gone out of business and the ongoing battles to secure retail and wholesale financing, many dealers are no doubt pleased to put 2009 behind them. Still, many dealers who did survive told RV PRO they learned valuable business lessons last year and are optimistic 2010 will be a better year.

When does it make sense to handle RV rentals in-house and when is it more logical to work with a regional or nationwide motorhome rental firm? On the one hand, when doing the work in-house, all of the profits – and all of the headaches – are your own. The other side of the coin is to let one of the large RV rental/ sales companies handle most of the details – like the booking, roadside assistance, insurance and such – while receiving a more minimal financial return.
